Ten days old.
Today Ruthie is ten days old. She is soon quite well and everything is moving right along. Her chest is nicely closed now and her stats have stabilized. Today they are weening her down on meds and her ventilator. She is moving and stating awake more now. They are giving her pedialite currently and they hope to give her breast milk today at noon. We are really excited especially since we have a lot on reserve. As long as she continues to do well they want to take her off the vent tomorrow morning which means she will start crying soon. We never thought we would be so happy to hear a crying baby but we can't wait. They hope to have the line out of her heart early next week which means holding her is getting close. We are extremely proud of her progress and thankful to God and our supporters. How blessed are we and is Ruthie.
